Hundreds of Stanwell Park families will benefit from the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government’s record investment in education, with an upgrade to Stanwell Park Public School announced today.

Member for Heathcote Lee Evans explained that the school will receive a new multipurpose school hall to benefit Stanwell Park’s outstanding students and teachers.

Mr Evans said he was thrilled to secure the project for local families.

“This will be a great support to current and future students as we are delivering the infrastructure our local communities need to thrive,” Mr Evans said.

“Only the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government can be trusted to ensure that new and upgraded local schools are delivered for NSW families.”

Education Minister Rob Stokes said the project is another example of the NSW Government delivering the school resources local students and their families deserve.

“Providing high-quality school buildings is an important way to provide our students with the best educational opportunities,” Mr Stokes said.

The major upgrade to Stanwell Park Public School is in addition to the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government’s record $6 billion school building program to deliver more than 170 new and upgraded schools throughout NSW.

Mr Stokes said the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government’s record investment in schools was in stark contrast to Labor’s.

“The last time Labor was in power, they shut down 90 schools, resulting in a loss of more than 500 classrooms and 2000 student places.”

In addition to the record-breaking school building program, the NSW Liberals & Nationals Government has committed an unprecedented investment to eliminate the school maintenance backlog so that every public school in the State provides the world-class facilities that our students and teachers deserve
