I am pleased to announce the Stanwell Park community can look forward to new facilities at Stanwell Park Public School, with construction work getting underway on the 5 October next week.
Once completed, the upgraded school will include a new school hall, a canteen, out of school hours care facilities and storage.
I welcome the news and am thrilled with the progress of the upgrade. This is an important project for our area. I’m so pleased construction is commencing for this upgrade. The NSW Government has continued to prioritise the educational needs of our young people as our communities continue to grow, despite the challenges of a pandemic. Many locals share my excitement for this project and will be eager to see the development of the school hall.
Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell said she was proud the NSW Government was delivering this major upgrade for Stanwell Park Public School.
“I’m very pleased we are delivering these much-needed resources for local students and I look forward to seeing the new facilities starting to take shape in the coming months.”
“It is part of our continued commitment to provide the very best education facilities for public school students in NSW,” Ms Mitchell said.
The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
